Review Your Home Inspection Report

We will send your report within 24 hours of the inspection.

Whether you are buying, selling or maintaining your home, Very Good Inspection Company provides professional and quality service from the moment you call us. If you choose to attend the inspection, we will walk through your home with you afterwards and answer any questions you may have. Very Good Inspection Company follows the Standards of Practice established by InterNACHI, the world’s largest trade organization of residential and commercial property inspectors.

Your inspection report may contain A LOT of reported items but don’t let that alarm you. No home is perfect, and it is very common for a home to have any number of “issues”. As inspectors it is our job to clearly report on the observed general condition of the home and systems on the day of the inspection. We will highlight any major or safety concerns that need to be addressed sooner than later. We will also mention items that you will want to keep an eye on for deferred maintenance. All this will be detailed in an easy-to-read Spectora report which can be viewed online, via your client portal and or downloaded for review.

The roof is one of the most costly and important structures. We will examine the roof, its structure, shingles/tiles, flashing, gutters, downspouts and more.

This includes the exterior walkways and doors, siding, eaves and soffits, fascia, paint, and other such elements of the home’s exterior.

We will visually inspect the HVAC systems including ducts, filters, furnaces and air conditioning units.

We will visually inspect plumbing fixtures for proper function, including tubs, sinks, hoses, showers, water heaters and water shut-off valves, and look for leaks and other such flaws.

Electrical Systems

We will visually inspect both interior and exterior electrical systems including service drops, service masts, grounding, outlets, meters, circuit breakers, and other such systems.

Doors, Windows & Interior

We will check doors and windows for proper sealing and drafts, signs of mold or water damage, and more. We will also check the condition of all accessible spaces.

Foundations & Crawl Spaces

We will examine the foundation, crawlspaces and basements to look for signs of things like past water damage, foundation cracking or shifting, and other such potentially expensive issues.

Attic, Ventilation & Insulation

We will examine the attic, when accessible, for proper ventilation, check for indications of mold and moisture and estimate the thickness of insulation and more.
